Frequently Asked Questions
We discuss 3D ultrasound, 4D ultrasound and HD ultrasound questions. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to call us at (281) 881-6343 or send an email at cutiekins4d@gmail.com.
What is a limited diagnostic prenatal ultrasound?
We offer limited diagnostic 3D/4D/HD Ultrasound experiences to provide a positive bond for parents with their unborn babies. This is an opportunity for you to see your baby in the womb. Fall in love with their precious face.
Research shows, that these amazing realistic surface images provide a connection between the parents and baby that can be beneficial to the whole family as they prepare to welcome their newest addition.
Does this replace the ultrasound at my doctor’s office?
NO!
Women seeking a limited diagnostic prenatal ultrasound with CutieKins must already be receiving prenatal care with a healthcare provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and diagnose any other pregnancy-related issues. Our ultrasounds are not designed to diagnose in any way.
We include a limited diagnostic scan to confirm the gender, number of babies, baby’s presentation, and placental location, and measure the heart rate. Please note, at no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound.
Are there any risks to me, or my baby?
With over 35 years of extensive studies done, it has been found that ultrasounds have not been linked to causing any maternal or fetal harm. Routine diagnostic scanning of all pregnancies is now a normal procedure. 3D/4D/HD scans use EXACTLY the same type and intensity of ultrasonic waves as in conventional 2D scans performed by your physician.
We highly recommend that parents discuss with their doctor any safety concerns they may have with 3D/4D/HD Ultrasounds.
Do I need an appointment for a 3D/4D/HD Ultrasound
Yes! Appointments are a must! We encourage you to schedule well in advance, especially if you are looking for a weekend spot.
How long does the 3D 4D prenatal ultrasound session take?
Expect to be with us for 30 to 45 minutes. The ultrasound itself is generally 20 to 30 minutes, but we will need some time for registration/eligibility, and to get everyone comfortable and situated for your ultrasound experience.
How far along should I be before I have an HD ultrasound?
CutieKins offers ultrasounds for all stages! We have our Heartbeat Ultrasound starting at 8 weeks, Sneak Peek Ultrasound starting at 11 weeks, Gender Ultrasound starting at 16 weeks and our main 3D/4D/HD Ultrasound starting at 28 weeks! It is so exciting to watch your baby grow through all of its stages!
Will my images be picture-perfect?
At CutieKins we strive for perfection. Sadly, picture-perfect is not always the case. In some cases, the baby is turned completely around i.e., towards your spine, and it may be difficult to get the baby to turn around. In a case like this, a complimentary rescan will be scheduled. Every baby scans differently depending on the gestational age, position, amount of fluid, placental location, and mother’s body habitus. We must remember, this is a baby in a belly with a mind and attitude of its own! However, I can promise you, we will make every effort to obtain the best images your baby allows. Also, remember… Drink a ton of water before you come.
May I bring a guest to my Ultrasound?
Yes! We have seating for 6, 7 including yourself at our facility. Have a few extras? No worries, we will make it a comfortable experience for all!
For those guests that are unable to attend your ultrasound, be reminded that we send out a recording of your entire session and all photos obtained during your session through Mommy Access the moment you walk out of our doors! This email can be shared and viewed as many times as you would like!
Does Insurance cover the cost of my 3D/4D/HD Ultrasound?
Due to our ultrasounds being an elective decision, insurance sadly does not cover this cost. We accept Cash, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, all Debit Cards, etc
